The College nurtures globally converged talented people who communicate on the world stage by learning humanities, social science and foreign language skills. They study humanities and social science such as languages, history, culture and diplomacy to be important players for development home and abroad.

Division of Europe

German Language and Culture

- Educational Objectives

The Department of German Language and Culture offers basic knowledge of German language and literature and a variety of German area studies based on the German proficiency. At the same time, students develop their capabilities to exchange the information with people in the German area using advanced mass media, which makes them to be German experts and global leaders in the 21st century.

French Language and Culture

- Educational Objectives

The Department of French Language and Culture offers basic knowledge of French language and literature based on French proficiency. In addition, students learn the practical information on French culture and areas using advanced mass media, which makes them to be French experts and global leaders.

Italian Language and Culture

- Educational Objectives

The Department of Italian Language and Culture offers the basic knowledge of Italian language and literature based on the Italian proficiency. Students can learn practical information of Italian area studies. The aims of the Division is to make students to be Italian experts contributing to international exchanges and cultural development. In addition, the curriculum offers a converged education and global area studies to nurture talented people to join international society and a variety of economic activities.

Commercial Relations in the EU

- Educational Objectives

The Department of Commercial Relations in the European Union (EU) aims to train students as experts of the area and trade in the EU. The EU is one of the leading forces in the globalization world of the 21st century and is Korea's important international cooperation partner in terms of culture, economy, technology and politics. Since the EU has been formed as an economic community to create shared prosperity by overcoming its different background of history, politics, culture and races, and now it becomes one of the world powers. Thus, the Department trains students to make them talented people who can understand the regional characteristics for international exchanges between EU countries and Korea.

Division of Latin America

- Educational Goals

Students can acquire the basic knowledge of linguistics and literature of Spain or Portugal based on the Spanish and Portuguese proficiency and learn a practical knowledge on its culture and area studies. The Division aims to train students to make them professionals with business and language skills based on mutual understanding of Latin America .

Spanish

- Educational Objectives

The Department of Spanish offers basic knowledge of Spanish language and literature based on Spanish proficiency. Students acquire practical information of Spanish area studies to be Spanish experts contributing to mutual understanding and international exchanges.

Portuguese

- Educational Objectives

The Department of Portuguese offers the basic knowledge of Portuguese language and literature based on the Portuguese proficiency. Students acquire the practical information of Portuguese area studies using audiovisual materials to be Portuguese experts with business skills in the international community.

Division of Russian & Turkish-Central Asian

- Educational Goals

Students can acquire the basic knowledge of linguistics and literature of Spain or Portugal based on the Spanish and Portuguese proficiency and learn a practical knowledge on its culture and area studies. The Division aims to train students to make them professionals with business and language skills based on mutual understanding of Latin America .

Russian Language & Business

- Educational Objectives

The Division of Russian & Turkish-Central Asian offers the basic knowledge of Russian language and literature based on Russian proficiency. Students acquire the practical information of Russian area studies and culture using advanced educational facilities and internet to be Russian experts with creative problem solving skills for Russia-Korea relations. The Division also provides the systematic curriculum of Turkish-Central Asia which has a linguistic and cultural familiarity with Korea. Students acquire business and fluent language skills of the area to play important roles for mutual exchanges and economic cooperation between Turkish-Central Asian countries and Korea.

Turkish-Central Asian Languages

- Educational Objectives

Turkey and five Central Asian countries including Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan located on Eurasian Silk Road have used the same language and formed a single cultural area. The Department of Turkish-Central Asian Languages offers a regional approach to the area to develop Eurasian Vision and also broadens understanding and knowledge of the area. By studying Turkish-Central Asian language, history and culture in comparison with or linking to Korean studies, students can develop the humanistic understanding of Turkey-Central Asia, a region with similar language and culture with Korea. In addition, the Department provides the academic and practical information of the area including politics, society and economics and cultivates local management skills through exchanges programs with the countries to nurture professionals contributing to Korean and Turkish-Central Asian relations.

Division of Southeast Asian Studies

- Educational Objectives

The Division enhances individual understanding of each Southeast Asian country based on its language and cultural education and offers integrated perspectives to strengthen competitiveness ASEAN Community launched in 2015. It aims to nurture creative talents who can respond to changes in the Southeast Asia immediately by providing a converged curriculum and a variety of supporting programs.

Division of Indian Studies

The Division of Indian Studies offers area studies including local society, culture, politics and economy together with Hindi and English skills in order to nurture regional and trade professionals who will play leading roles in promoting and enhancing cooperation with India, a great economic power in the 21st century. At the same time, students develop a rational thinking through building good characters and self-development. Based on these knowledge and characters, the Division aims to educate students to make them professionals in India with fluent Hindi and English skills and a practical knowledge to make them play a leading role in the world.

The Division of Korean Language & Culture aims to nurture glocal creative cube-type talents based on the Korean language and culture to integrate a multi-cultural society through sharing community values.

Department of Paideia for Creative Leadership

The Department of Paideia for Creative Leadership offers extended and integrated humanities education and aims to nurture multi-dimensionally creative talents with mature personality and humanistic imagination.

Division of History, Tourism & Diplomacy, Commerce

- Educational Goals

The Division of History, Tourism & Diplomacy, Commerce offers a wide range of expertise in history, tourism and diplomacy in order to approach a comprehensive understanding of relations between regions along with the exchanges and integration in the 21st century. Subdivided into History and Tourism, and Diplomacy/Commerce, the Division aims to nurture talented people who can adapt to the new environment of the 21st century by broadening the knowledge and experiences in a variety of fields.

History and Tourism

The Department of History and Tourism aims to train professionals with the extensive knowledge of the world history and tourism culture. Students learn history combined with a variety of practical fields to be professionals in tourism industry which has a lot of potential in the 21st century.
1) Broaden knowledge about history and culture of not only Korean but also Eastern and Western.
2) Develop expertise in tourism based on the extensive knowledge.
3) Offer a detailed and systematic curriculum to nurture professionals in history and tourism.

Diplomacy and Commerce

- Educational Objectives

The Department of Diplomacy and Commerce aims to train talented people with understanding and analysis of global issues and regional knowledge which are essential in the global and information era since countries get closer and non-national exchanges increases. In addition, it places more emphasis on international politics than general politics to respond to environmental changes in a global system and encourages a practical learning such as area studies combined with a variety of language departments.
